Title: help from someone up north
Post by: jl on June 09, 2007, 04:36:27 PM
I live in the mountains of Northern NH and it will get below zero routinely and stay below for days on end.  From what I've read and seen alot of people use two deep hive bodies to leave the bees honey and sustain them through the winter.  I wondering if I need to use three because it gets so cold or will two suffice?  thanks for the help

Two will probably suffice.

The equivalent of 2 deeps (3 Mediums) works for overwintering everywhere in the USA including Alaska.
