Title: Stingless bee hive design?
Post by: Tropic on June 17, 2007, 01:52:32 AM
I have a number of Trigona stingless bee hives and have been harvesting some of the honey. It has now become a problem working with the simple single box hive and would welcome some ideas on what is considered the best design for these mini-bees. Maybe the Australian members of the forum can share in this since I understand they have quite an advanced program with the stingless bees. Here are some photos of my Trigonas and a hive that got established in one of my larger beehives. I harvested some of the honey.

Trigona stingless bees, oh yeah, I used to keep some of them when I lived on Neptune! No, seriously what? Trigona stingless bees that make honey, never heard of them before. Will definitely have to google them. Cool pics and wow!
