I have seen these on ebay before but check out the buy it now price.
yeah thats a little high, for me. But its interesting to say the least. I have two boxes sitting in my shed, I should get them weather and put some stamps on them lol
looks like the boxes my bees came in :-)
LOL yeah, bee-package boxes have evolved enormeusly....
I bought a package through Ebay this season, took that LEAP OF FAITH and jump into it - exellent results and the hive is doing great.
If I had interest in this antique shipper, I'd watch it - but WOW on that "Buy it now price" is crazy nuts. Some people aren't happy finding out the REAL VALUE of stuff. Keep us posted on what it sells for :)
Wow I got the "Beemaster" himself to respond to my post.
The shipping package sold for $20.00. That sounds reasonable. I bet the seller was sure hoping he had something valuable.

That's probably more than the original price of the package with bees!

I got a giggle out of your reply about "Beemaster himself" replying - sure hope it's not the last time we get to volley posts :)
Been a hectic few weeks, visiting PDMattox and Likestogrill and their families last week (I got home a week ago today) and then right into a 9 day stretch at work sure is taking its tally, but I'm getting back on schedule again. It's not like I'm silent in here, I just like reading more than replying and I'm around voice chat most of the time when home.
I haven't had time to make the second video from the Florida trip (it will be mostly Universal Studio stuff) but the meeting of the other members video is doing pretty good, along with my growing Youtube collection :)
Anyone wanting to see any of the videos - www.youtube.com/njbeemaster will bring you to the page with my videos. I'm going to be adding another forum to the site, it will be something like ""The best of the forum" and will contain posts from all the other forums which are outstanding on their own. It seems like a good idea and will reply only for members (although members may suggest posts to copy into this forum) but moderators and admins will all pick posts which they think really stand-out in each of the other forums and this "BEST OF" forum will be a great place to see a "TASTE" of all the forums.
So you are hearing it first - how's that for insight?! Hope you are enjoying the forum :)
I have been watching them for a few months now....I expect that at some point somebody will get burned as it is against ebay policy to sell any living animal on there. I wouldn't buy from them even if the price was right. My luck and I would hit buy it now just as ebay pulls the plug and they loose their account leaving my money in pergatory and with them having know way to retrieve my information.
John, your new forum sounds like it will be very interesting. But tell me, how on earth are you going to choose what would be considered "worthy" of this forum, I think that you may have a job that may be a very difficult one to do, I hope you can pull it off, and good for you, yeah!!!! Best of this beautiful day. Cindi

It really isn't that hard... First, members "response" to posts vary greatly, often the post has MANY PAGES of response - that doesn't mean (by itself) that a post is a best of candidate, but it sure puts it in the spotlight.
Then, when we get great photos or video links and they either stand alone or are coupled with great posts, it is an easy choice too.
I would love members to be active in this forum by choosing posts THEY feel are awesome examples of the different forums - for example, posts which really gave newbees insight to bee behaviour, installing, maintaining, splitting, swarm observations, cutouts, extracting methods, rapid growth techniques, and our stuff "outside" the world of beekeeping that gets a real following too!
The idea for it to be a ONE STOP forum for the best of may not be easy, true - but it surely isn't the only forum I'd ever expect members to visit either. Think of it as a sampler plate of what the other forums have to offer - some forums which members never really get to because the title seems to be out of their box, or comfort zones.
I'm thinking about a child forums format, in other words a topic header representing each forum within this best of forum - that way you have no trouble distinguishing posts and their origin. So I'm still bantering it around here, thinking of the best way to do it. Most likely I'll keep it INVISIBLE until enough posts are copied to it to make it a forum worth checking out. Building up a forum "slowly" isn't always a good idea, especially if you claim it to contain the BEST OF content :)
There are a few ideas.... I hope that helps you see it isn't impossible and trust me, the selection process will not be complicated or require great thought - if a post helps people to better understand a topic and especially if it has STAYING POWER (which many posts have been around for years and still get replied to) then it seems it must have some impact on members and should be included.
Great Day :)
John, you are a master of innovation, my hat off to you, have a wonderful day, great life. Cindi
