Title: extracting honey.
Post by: newbee07 on June 27, 2007, 09:32:58 AM
Should the spring honey be extracted and super placed back in order to extract the fall honey. Or can you just extract the first few supers you added int the spring as one batch and the last few addede in the fall for the next batch just keep it seperated?

Most people extract twice a year as spring and fall honeys are different. Falls tends to be darker and granulates easier as a general rule. After I extract, I put the supers back on for cleaning and wax moth prevention. I leave'm on until fall for any fall flow.
