Title: They were dancing!
Post by: BlueEggFarmer on June 30, 2007, 09:17:52 AM
During the last few days of hotness I've had the telescopic cover propped up with a rock in the front which gave the bees ventilation and a nice hive top entrance through the whole in the intercover.  Yesterday, without smoking the bees, I took off the top cover. There were 5 different dances happening on different areas of the intercover. So cool to see the dancing. The other girls coming out to join in. It was a great thing to watch without disturbing anything.

BlueEggFarmer.  Aren't you lucky to get a glimpse of your girls doing their hoola dances  :)  This world of the bee is the most fascinating thing to watch, something always new to watch.  Have a wonderful day, great life.  Cindi

I have yet to see the washboard dance of the bees.  I would love to see it, maybe I will have this beautiful little glimpse into this part of the bees' life.  The orientation flights are a work of wonder.  It is very easy to see this and watch them, it makes me feel so good when I see these little bees doing their thing.  Have a wonderful day, great life.  Cindi
