Title: So I was sitting and watching my Bees yesterday....
Post by: Bennettoid on July 05, 2007, 06:13:20 PM
and this Bee flew out of the hive, hit me between the eyes and stung me instantly. It happened so quickly that I didn't even have time to blink.

The kids are saying I look like ET now.

Happened to my now eleven year old son almost two years ago while he was sitting next to me.  Same thing, too fast to stop, but boy was he fast scrapping out the stinger.  No E.T. thing just a zit.

Don't know where you were sitting, but sit to the side.
Most times they go strait out the front then turn a few yds out.

Yeah, I was sitting in front, but back a little bit, I must not have been there for her other flights and she was not paying attention.

Sheesh, Women Fliers.

they tend to do that....act like you..as if you weren't there, everything is normal, they're minding their own buisines but...all of a sudden one decides to fly at you backwards and just ZAP.

Ouch!!
Buzzbee jr took a hit below the eye two weeks ago. Tried the penny over the sting and ice for about twenty minutes, two benadryl tabs and had very little reaction! He got lucky,or the penny thing may have actually helped.

the penny thing has been discused thouroughly and...i think we'll have to send a request to the mythbusters :-D

ugh...i got about..5 stings in the last month and all were either nose or under the eye. combined the heated pointy thing and plantain and got reaction for maybe 30 minutes. i would recommend it to everyone.
