Title: strange sighting
Post by: jl on July 07, 2007, 06:59:56 PM
A friend of mine asked me to post this.  He has a hive that he was watching today and noticed something odd.  The bees are coming back to the hive with yellow fibers stuck to their feet and it appears it is affecting how they walk.  They have left these fibers all over the hive and come and go with them still attached to their feet.  So their not bringing the fibers into the hive for a purpose.  The bees in question do not have pollen on their legs.  Any ideas what this is?

Someone posted about this just the other day. Do a search on this site on milkweed, they had posted pictures as well.
