I think that pollen would be too hard to get out of the cells, I have never heard of bees robbing pollen.  But then...one never knows.  YOu will probably hear from more experienced beekeepers on this site if they have ever heard of this.  Have a wonderful day, best of life.  Cindi

It all depends, if they are first time robbers, probably just nectar, career criminal robbers will take anything and everything. bahahahahaha! :-D

I had never heard of it but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I am curious as to just how much they will take. Wax, honey, pollen, slave bees, hold the Queen hostage ? :-D

Yea bee's will forage pollen also and i know this only cause i had a box set out as a swarm lure which indeed worked but anyways it had pollen only in it and i saw bee's comin in and out but it wasnt a swarm cause they wouldnt stay but they took all the pollen so it does happen

I've occasionally seen them take pollen in a dearth but only after the honey was gone.
