I have a couple frozen supers of honey from last year (mostly goldenrod) which I would like to give to my bees, but don't want them to refill these particular boxes. Can I get away with putting the super on top of the inner cover and let them empty it over a couple days before I remove it and them not filling it back up? I seem to think the bees would consider it to not be apart of the hive. I need the room back in my freezer sooner than later so I can't wait until fall to give it to them (which is not a concern for me).
Thanks.
You know what....never mind. I just saw a post just like this a few threads down. Imagine that.

HI basman scratch open the frames and use inercover like you say also if you are worried about the bees filling the frames back up place a empty supper with out frames on first then inercover then box of honey then top remove these as soon as posable watch for ants hope this helps RDY-B
