Title: Not half bad
Post by: GTBee on August 21, 2007, 04:54:08 PM
Opened up the hives today after about a month on vacation.  It's been so hot and dry I expected the worse but was pleasantly surprised.  All but one of my hives were doing pretty good.  Still laying eggs and still had stores (not as much as I wish but they hadn't eaten it all).  The one thing that was disappointing was that I had wax moth infiltration in one of the hives.  The best part though is that I have NO mites.  These Russian's are really fastidious about cleaning themselves.  Just wanted to post and let people know that things are going along pretty good.

Thanks for the update. Things seem to be doing well considering the heat and the dearth that is going on.
