Title: bears in Spain
Post by: abejaruco on August 21, 2007, 06:38:21 PM
Not sure if bear is tecnically a disease. There were any bears on the Spanish border with France, Aragon territory, and the French have killed them recently, so, probably is a disease if you have to live being beekeeper.

In Spain we have any Spanish bears in the Northwestern mountains, Asturias, Leon, Cantabria, Galicia, "territorio vaquero".

The bear has been killed using this tramp, curious. Is the bear silly? Or is it really hungry?

I write the name of the book and the autor, to avoid trikismikis. "El Trampeo" by Moisés D. Boza.

I would say hungry. Its a shame that the bears had to be rubbed out.

I´m agree. Wild life is a treasure for our spirits. But, one reflexion, I have read in this forum that people kills birds because eat bees or kills falcon because hunt a pigeon.

In France, bears were exterminated. Actually are being reintroduced in the Pyreene ¿? Pirineos mountains from Slovenia. I didn´t know that Mice had bears in the backyard. :)

In Spain, bears and wolves are recovering the population. Here never were exterminated because mountains are impenetrable, guerrilla zone. Of course, Spanish know that bears and wolves only strike sheep when there are not good dogs. That´s the reason the Spanish Mastiff is being reintroduced too.

So you know when a bear was last spotted?  I recently read an article that stated that the last couple of bears in Spain were killed by poachers.

Actually, by the local population that will not get rich on "1 or 2" weekends of piste skiing a year because can disturb the habitat of bear.

The bear will survive. :)
