Title: What will you be doing between now and winter?
Post by: BAStallard on August 31, 2007, 09:52:32 AM
I've just built ventilated boxes for my three hives and will be building sbbs for them, and I am going to do a menthol treatment, and an apisguard treatment for mites, and if needed I will feed 2:1 syurp for winter, is there anything I am missing because I want my bees to make through thanks.

Winter?  What winter?  We don't have winter in FL.  I would guess that maybe a dozen or so days out of the whole year in south FL gets below 50 degrees.

I love FL.  Bees and gardens year round .

We are 13 inches behind in rain so I'm just trying to keep em alive and build comb. Need to start cutting wood for winter but when it's 100 deg thats the last thing on your mind. Everythings burnt up. No grass, no hay, no pasture and the fishing is terrible to boot
