Title: Thanks to Tillie in Atlanta
Post by: abates99 on August 31, 2007, 04:39:57 PM
A few weeks ago I made my very first harvest.  I pulled two frames and made two jars of chunk honey and two jars of strained honey.  I entered one jar of each in the county fair and got first place on the pure honey and second on the chunck.  I wanted to say thank you to Tillie (Linda) for the videos she posted on her blog,  without those videos I would have been clueless about how to harvest honey.  Those videos are excellent for the beginner, and I recommend that everyone getting ready for their first harvest watch them.
Thanks again Linda.

Congratulations - what a feat to get ribbons in both categories!  You must be so excited for that to be your reward in your very first year!

I'm glad the videos helped - I was clueless my first year (last year) and hoped that doing those amateur tapes would be useful to somebody....

Thank you, both of you, for the kind words,

Linda T in Atlanta
