Title: Hello from Austin, Texas
Post by: Aisha on September 16, 2007, 05:24:53 PM
Greetings,

I just started a single hive in July. I am in the suburbs with fields and woods nearby too.

I started a hive because of the CCD on the news this spring. I love gardening and I wanted to help the bees.

It turns out my great-grandfather kept honeybees and sold the honey. Maybe it's in  my genes! I love it.

All the best,
Aisha

Welcome Aisha

Glad to meet yet another female beekeeper. There are many on this bee forum, which was surprising to me at first. You will learn a lot here and get lots of help. Do you have any photos you can send so we can see your setup?? I just bought a digital camera  recently and have been having so much fun taking photos of the hives.

Stay in touch with how things are going. We care very much here.

Sincerely,
Annette from Placerville California

Thanks for the warm welcome, Annette and Buzzbee!

I'll post photos of my hive when I qualify to do so as a more advanced forum user.

All the best,
