Title: 8 frame hive plans link?
Post by: gottabee on October 10, 2007, 06:50:40 PM
Does anyone have a link for construction of 8 frame Langstroth equipment?

Adobe format hopefully. Plenty of ten frame plans out there.

MANY THANKS.

Use the plans for the 10 frame equipment but reduce the width measurement to 13 1/2  (or 3/4) inches.

Just make the ends 2 1/2" shorter...

I have a friend who wants to make a hive or two for me. Free! Wow, what a deal, Right? He is a pretty good woodworker but wants a set of plans for everything he builds. Surley someone has a set of 8 frame plans.

MIKE BUSH,  thanks for the link. I can definately use this for cutting down my 10 framers.

Just copy the plans from beesource and shorten all the measurments of width by 2 1/2".  A little white out and a black pen should do the trick... or use Paint Brush and do it electronically.
