Title: Cheapest fuel
Post by: bberry on October 14, 2007, 01:55:42 AM
Dryer lint is the way to go ya'll. It is free and works great just make sure that the lint comes from your natural fiber clothes i.e denim, cotton, twil, linen etc. NO POLY

Where on earth does all the dryer lint come from anyways?  I don't think that I would use the lint from my dryer, because I am the user of fabric softeners.  I think that the dryer lint would be full of bad stuff, I like natural stuff I gather from the woods.  Have a wonderful and beautiful day, best of this great life we're livin'.  Cindi

It's little bits of the fibers that make up your clothing that break off...that's why clothes get thinner and eventually develop holes, even if they've never been torn...the fibers break and fall out over time.

Worn out jeans and lawn clippings is what I use. The amount of Jeans I ware out, and the amount of fuel I need per year coincide, I use grass clippings to start and a little mix. :) ;)

I should have specified the fabric softener thing-sorry. I don't really worry about that as i make my own laundry detergent with no perfumes or toxic yuck and it washes super clean-also don't use commercial softener -just a half cup vinegar in the machine softens just as well. If you clean out the dryer regularly you will be amazed at how much of the lint you end up with and it lights up real quick.
