Title: My new old-fashioned toilet!!!!
Post by: Cindi on October 27, 2007, 02:19:29 PM
You'll get a kick out of this one.  My husband is in the process of bathroom renovations.  We now have a toilet (a two-flusher, one for number one and one for number 2) and a shower installed. Still no floor or wall stuff, but at least we can do our dirty deeds (hee, hee).

For two days, it was outside, walk all the way down to the lower floor of the house, or pee in the bucket (number 2 of course was only allowed in the downstairs bathroom  :) ;).

Took me back to the days on my Gramma's farm when we had to go to the outhouse and use magazines for wipin'.  Have a wonderful and beautiful day in this great life.  Cindi

This brings an interesting question... How feasable would it be to use an old toilet as a nuc? The storage tank on the back should be about the right size for five or six frames...

great idea.  i was going to use mine as a planter, but......maybe the bowl could be the feeder?  you'd have to float some stuff in it.......

A five gallon bucket with a little water in it is what we call a cajun toilet.

This cracks me up-yes i can laugh now-two years ago it wasn;t so funny. My family moved into a small house in BAD need of repairs out in the country. The floor fell out in the bathroom and we had to rip out the whole thing. There were two o fus and our two children and i was pregers with number three and we had to use a five gallon bucket rigged up with a toilet seat(for comfort ya know). I am laughing so hard right now remembering this truly 'getto' set up but at the time i cried over it quite a lot-of course i was pregnant  :-D
