Post by: newguy on October 29, 2007, 10:59:56 PM
i put a super of extracted frames on top of my inner cover for the bees to clean up and they moved up into it. i guess i did something wrong but not sure what. can someone please explain this technique? i didnt want to just leave it outside because the last time i did that bees from my two hives duked it out and i had a lot of apicides.

Does that mean the cluster is there?  Some bees are there? They put capped honey there?

Try placing a empty medium supper without frames -over the inner cover then place the wet supper over it - works for me hope it works for you -RDY-B

micheal sorry, yes it seemed like it was sort of a cluster up there, it was actually the three center frames with bees all over. it looked like a frame with brood looks, but i didnt actually pull a frame out. and yes they were capping honey up there.

rdy-b thanks, now that you mention it i think i remember reading it that way, with the empty frame in the middle.
