Hey everyone,
Happy Super Bowl weekend!!
I went out today and opened up my ussian hive to swap some frames around but they still seemed to be clustered up on about four frames. The weather here in Asheville, Nc is around 60 and they are out flying and bringing in pollen from somewhere. So do they normally stick together even on warmer day? I don't beleive it was a true cluster as in balled up but they were concentrated on four frames and keeping a close eye on me the whole time not a whole lot of them throughout the rest of the hive. I didn't split them up but just changed out a couple of frames next to them with ones that had plenty of honey.
Thanks,
Scott..
If there is any brood in the hive they will cover the brood to keep it warm!!
