I took these pic on a break from doing a cut-out. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity, it was pretty cool. I think these, if you wanna call them flowers, I don't know if they are for sure, but its from some type of palm tree, I think. The bees were collecting pollen.

That's a good number of bees for that little bit of area.
I'd figure out what it is and maybe why that particular tree is attractive now?
The pollen source must be good for that much attention.
I would also be interested in nabbing a bee and scraping off a taste of the pollen just for kicks.
My luck it would be something lethal....

Yes, they are flowers, just not like our typical garden flowers. They may even provide nectar, some of the palm flowers are quite fragrant.
Cabbage Palm Honey is something some of the beekeepers do here. The biggest problem with it is that the honey has a high moisture content and the bees will take a long time to cap it.

JP, some beautiful looking flowers and cool Brendhan that you identified them. When I was looking at those pictures, they looked like they might be fragrant, they have that waxy appearance of many fragrant flowers, like the white bluebells, white hyacinth, gardenias, jasmine, white flowers of some hostas. White seems to be a very fragrant flower for one reason or other. Guess it makes it up with fragrance that it doesn't do with spectacular flowers. Nice Ann that you mentioned some of the palm flowers are fragrant. Have a beautiful and wonderful day on this great planet, Earth. Cindi
