Title: Free to you Swarm Boxes
Post by: Ronnie Elliott on February 12, 2008, 01:19:33 PM
Some of your local grocery stores recieve there frozen chicken parts for frying, in wax coated cardboard boxes, Wally World did, but quit.  The chicken parts or sealed in plastic sealed bags inside the boxes, so there clean, and no blood.  I cut a one inch hole near the bottom on one end of box, take a piece of wire to insert in middle of hole to keep the nest building birds out, put a wrap of vinyl duct tape around box, and mount it in tree on a nail. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Clever and green all at once...What a great idea!

Thanks for the compliment, but actually I read about this a couple of years ago on Beesourse.com.  I did put a frame in one of the boxes today, and the legnth is just right for a deep frame to fit.  I didn't measure how many frames would fit, but at least maybe eight.
