September 6, one of my colonies issued a swarm, shouldn't have done that that time of year, but that was there intention. Whodda thought to keep an eye out for swarm cells in September, lessons lived and learned. The swarm issued right during an enormous family reunion that I was having, so I was able to perform. Hee, hee. My Sister (and others) took lots of pictures. I have tried to order them, from the first visual, to the cigarette to calm the storm within. The picture that you see with me and the make shift swarm box in the tree was how I caught the swarm. I pushed the bees into the box, that was why I was wear gloves. It was a successful swarm catch, I still am uncertain if this swarm has made it through the winter, time will tell that tale.

Cindi,
These photos are so,so cool. I am so happy you have been able to catch a swarm. Maybe one day I can do this. You look absolutely beautiful as a beekeeper.

Bassman, ya, I would get it was about 10 feet, maybe a little bit higher. It was only a big stepladder that was used. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, beautiful groovin' on beautiful things. Cindi
The thumbs up says it all!
