I live in Stone County Arkansas. I am looking for a local Beek to hook up with to show me a few things. I will be getting me first ever bees in mid april. Either PM me of E-mail me if U can help.

I highly recommend that you get connected with a local beekeeping group. Often they have beginning beekeeping classes, and usually you can find a few mentors who will gladly help you get started. Plus, it's fun just to hang out with other beeks! Arkansas has several local associations:

March 14 & 15 in Springfield MO at Clarion Hotel is the spring meeting of Missouri beekepers . Lots of speekers and lots of beeks , and best place to meet people and get info.

I'll let ya know now there is not bee group in stone!!! I think there is one in Mountain Home! Now a wile back there was one but all the beekeepers in Stone did not give a flip so that ended really fast! There has been one more start up but it had the same Problem! I've been at it all most a year now and im not in any group! Im good friend with the Ar state inspecter so thats even better then a group! he is only 4 miles from me as the bee flys LOL

I am about 17 miles from Mtn View. From Mtn View it is the first left after the Ben Fire Dept. Ben Rd, then 1 mile to Penner Lane. Left to top of hill.
