Title: Autumn collected pollen as an ingredient in Spring pollen supplement
Post by: Joseph Clemens on February 28, 2008, 07:09:47 PM
Following is a close-up photograph of bee collected pollen (collected in Fall near Sierra Vista, AZ). I have been grinding it to a powder, then adding it to my patties of Mann Lake's BeePro which I acquired at Southwest Bee Supply, here in Tucson, AZ.

Do you use a pollen trap, or better question, What type of trap do you use?

That's awesome.  Something you don't see too much.  Any idea what flowers the pollen is from?

My guess would be fresh and uncut.

I only know what Roy at Southwest Bee Supply told me about it. Though I am working on a way to trap my own pollen, I haven't started doing it yet. I bought this pollen to mix into my pollen supplement and to feed my cell builder colonies as pollen patties.
