So glad to find this site. I am a newbie beekeeper. I installed them last spring and they wintered over. They look happy to have some spring like weather here. But, I have a bunch of questions I will search on before I go overboard on this introduction board. I have two hives on the side of my house. They did great last year. Got a lot of honey and made lotion and lip balm with some of the wax. I'm looking forward to starting over again this year and learned alot from all my mistakes last year. Happy Spring to all!!
Welcome Suzy! You will enjoy it here. You will learn more about bees and other things than thought possible. You will make new friends. Have fun and congratulations, you have found us, we are here to help.
Sincerely, JP
Suzy, welcome. Yep, you have found a great place to spend lots of time and learn lots too. We are a friendly group of people, questions loved to be answered and ask any question that your heart desires. You received honey from your colonies last year, that is good, and look at the byproducts that your girls gave you that you made stuff with, wonderful. What a nice greeting from you, happy spring, that portrayed a very nice thought. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, love our life. Cindi

Welcome nwsuzy!!!
I'm the other person from Buckley. :-)
I found this forum last spring when I first started and found it to be a real life saver MANY times! The people here are a real kick in the pants. A bunch of us beekeepers in this forum from the Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and neighboring states are planning on getting together over Labor Day weekend this year up at Brian Bray's place in Anacortes to swap honey and have a BBQ and make cider from Brian's apple trees. Hope you can make it!!!

Cindi, I just knew you would catch that as I was reading the responses. Sometimes the Quote is embedded way below and I can't see it, so when I make my post and quote, everything gets combined. It was purely an accident as I didn't see the quote at the bottom. No soup for me?
