Title: Production
Post by: Gregg on March 06, 2008, 09:22:32 PM
In a normal yr, we have been very dry here for 2 summers, but in a good yr with every thing going normal, how long does it take for a queen to lay enough eggs , and those start producing honey in the supers. And in a good yr how much honey should one expect. I know its dumb questions but I am still learning. Putting in my 1st hives now

It will depend on your climate (and I've never had bees in your climate), the weather this particular year (and no one can predict that), the vigor of the hive in general (which varies from hive to hive), and how well you manage the hive (mostly how much you leave them alone). :)
