Any advise from the experienced beeks as to when I should start considering spring feeding. It still hasn't rose above 40 degrees in Wisc. and I'm not sure as to what they have in their stores. I have for sure two of my three that made it over winter. Any ideas? :?
If you know one is dead, you can give the honey from that one to the others.
You could also put dry sugar on top if you think they are light. (lift them from the back and see how light they are).
If it is a warmer day( 30 +, no rain) you can pop the cover briefly, slowly. Peek in and see what they have. If it is under 40 they will just buzz at you. Just don't do it too often.
