I have only seen pics of these but they are obviously recycled paper pots with a lid. My question is what is the size ? high X ? around and are empty. In the pics the enterance appears to be the bottom drain hole of the pot. If this is the case I can puchase these locally and could make 1/4 wood lids
The ones I have are 14" diameter at the top, tapering down to 10". The lids actually have a part that fits down inside the trap, and it has a few ridges...presumably to be used by the bees as comb guides.
Mine are all old bee boxes with frames or cardboard nucs with frames...
I try to use a deep box with drawn comb.
All thats left to do is move to desired location and add boxes.
I sat one up about 6o yards from a swarm last Easter week and on the 4th
day they took it.
