I just heard about it this morning. Thats like such a bummer.
But,...First thing that came to my mind was how cool it would be to be there right after it happened and be able to catch a ton of bees!
I had a picture in my mind of piles of bees in my back yard and hoping that the bees would pile up around the queens so it wouldbe easier to separate colonies and get them boxed up.
Then again, this was kind of like thinking about what I would do if i won the lottery!
your friend,
john
This happened about 1 hour from where I live. Have a guy from work stuck in the traffic just sitting and watching that mess. All the people from work handed me the newspaper when I arrived to work to show me the photos. I feel so, so sad for the bees.
Annette
This sort of thing happens 1 or 2 times a year
Big moving vehicles loaded with lots of individual boxes that can move, time limits...not suprising, just very noticable.

Here is a video of it.

Lucky you - at 9:36 it's still unavailable to me. All I get is a praise job of Slick Willy
Well let us try this and see what happens

It is probably the same link. Wonder if you have to be signed up on yahoo for it to work because I just don't have any trouble.
No joy. I wonder if you've got it cached on your computer so it comes up ok for you?
Came up fine for me.

OK I went through a great amount of trouble to go and find this for all ya'll. This better work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jerry! I hadn't seen it, Greg had.
It is gratifying that they now care enough to try to save the bees - in the past they'd hose them down with foam and kill them all! The reporters' comments at the end were good, too. Maybe people are finally getting a clue and listening to the canary in the coal mine.
Yeh, jerry, Thanks!!
Thats the first time I got to see this also!
What do you suppose all the bees left behind will do?
your friend,
john
No really it wasn't that much trouble. I was kidding. No praise needed.
OK maybe a little.
Oh what the heck...
