way to go jp!nice pics.do they normally build comb that fast?also how often do you feed newly hived swarms?bill

They build comb pretty fast, yes. I feed them as soon as I catch them. You never know how long they have been clustered and living off of their reserves.

do you feed with a hive top feeder or a frame feeder.i have been feeding with chick feeder setting on top of frames.chick feeder is cheaper but kinda pain in butt to refill.thinkin of cutting hole in top and just pour in and tape over hole.

Sometimes I'll give them a drawn out frame and fill it with sugar water, or I'll use a syringe and squirt the sw in, through the box. A frame of honey is even better.
