Title: Double Screen
Post by: AndersMNelson on March 28, 2008, 03:55:31 PM
Does anyone here use a double screen to increase hive population.  I have a hive with a low population, and think that introducing another queen would help.  Also, I don't have any frames of brood to add, so that's out of the question.  Anyone done this?

There are many ways to use a double screen to make increase.  I have tried some of them.  Putting it between two brood boxes with brood is simple and works well.

I use them for introducing queens.  You can see pictures here too.

That's a good site - thanks.  But what if you don't have enough brood to make an "introductory nuc?"
