Title: Remember when cameras had film, and you accidentally opened the camera?
Post by: Understudy on March 30, 2008, 10:17:28 PM
Well as the saying goes no pictures no proof.

And with today's camera there isn't film anymore so you really can't expose the film anymore.

Yet somehow I managed to find a new way to destroy new technologies. Think of it like quality control. You make it I break it. And I will find a way.

So I have pictures of two removals, two school presentations, A nature day event at the park. And photos of me and my wife sporting new shirts with my cool new logo I made on them from Cafe Press.

In my excitement I removed the SD card and went to put it in my card reader and as I put it in......well....I kinda.... bent it. Thus ruining the card.

Now it's not like I had childhood precious photos on it. Or semi nude sexy shots of my wife. No just bee stuff. God my life just suddenly seems very pathetic.

So during the past week with no photos nothing happened and I am just exhausted by....nothing.

I will retake photos of the very cool shirts but later after I recover from my week of nothing.

Sincerely,
Brendhan

Why complain about not having the pictures when you have the real thing? :-D

If you are defined only by the pictures you have, then your memory is pathetic!!! :-P

I'd be more upset about having to pay money for a new card, but then again I'm dutch through and through....

I have lost more info and the like with this wonderful new world technology than I ever lost with good old hard copy paper , film and slides  I learned the hard way to have a backup for the backup. SD cards are fairly fragile so all pictures get put on disc besides the computor and sometimes a flash drive. With real film you had the negatives if something happened. With electronic technology you got zilch. When I came back from a trip to Romania a few years ago I lost quite abit of my pics from both digital and film  :(  So go figure ... Some friends of ours came back from vacation and had not pulled the pics of the digital camera. Their daughter took a pic of something and didn't like the way it turned out and decided to delet it. Well, she deleted the entire card instead of the one pic. The entire thing gone with the click of a button.

I'm fairly certain that under a lot of circumstances there are ways to retrieve pictures even after they've been deleted.  A camera shop would be able to help out there.

I have a big enough card to hold years worth, and I use the camera for the transfer so I don't need to mess with the cards.  Backup to cd or dvd and keep that at work and I'm covered. :)

That's what I was trying to do. God said "No!"
So yes God has a sense of humor and sarcasm.

Hey, I loaded my pics from my camera onto the computer last nite and somekinda way accidentally deleted all pics that were on my memory card in the camera. I also deleted them from picasa. I was able to go in and bring them back up from the recycle bin, glad I didn't clean that out. I did this when I was tired and in the dark. I almost screwed up, as it is, as I now have no images on my memory card.
