Title: Spring is here
Post by: asciibaron on April 10, 2008, 03:23:50 PM
got home from work yesterday and got a few pictures of the girls, and a boy at the entrance on the first nice day since the bees were installed 4 days earlier.

the weather is even better today and the entrance is alive with activity - looking forward to keeping in on their progress this weekend. i'm sure they spent the past few days clustered since it was in the 40's and rainy.  not sure how fast they can draw out comb, but hopefully they have been at it the past 2 days.

went out a few minutes ago and got a few more action shots and one of the hive.  i placed the hive behind the stump to protect it from errant soccer balls from our son.  hope it helps...

Things are looking good Steve. Just keep the sugar syrup for them and they will draw out faster, especially with the rain. Right now we are getting rain about every other day here in Missouri. What a mess. Good luck!!
