I just made my first picture post on the Bradford Pear tree and it turned out. YEA! Below are some pictures of different plants in the yard and of course my bee garden I planted last year.

All the plants that were planted came from the list that everyone has posted. Thanks for all the ideas. Im hoping to exapnd this year from 5 raspberrery bushies to 20 and to plant a few more fruit trees.
Very nice, Shawn, just wait til it all fills in, you'll be making your bees very happy! Now all you need is a little pond for them to drink from (the bees at my mother's house just love her pond!)
Shawn, now isn't that just nice, you did a great job, and yep, yep, you're bees gonna be happy!!! Beautiful and most wonderfully awesome day, Cindi
One year later for the garden.

Shawn, things are growing, nice. I think that you have perennials here, they will fill out even more as the years go on. Beauty. Great and wonderful day in this great life. Cindi
Looking good! I'm a bit behind you. But that is a great start!
Thanks everyone. Just to let you know the back row, against the fence, is 2 bushes of cat mint, two bee balms, and there is two holly hocks between each big plant. The second row of purple is salvia. The front row is daisies. There are a three hysop I planted this uyear because someone in the forums were saying theirs were covered in bees. The area in front of the red brick is where I planted the wildflowers seeds and only one kind of flower is coming up, no idea what it is. The first picture you can see my hive, but in front of that I planted 5 russian sage plants, honeysuckle, and more hollyhocks. A lot more yard to go and a lot more plants to plant. The garden forum has really helped me out a lot looking for plants I need to plant. I would really like to plant Fire weed but Im not sure if it will grow here or if I can get it.
Shawn I have a few fireweed, might get seeds later this year. They are usually one of the first things to grow after a clear cut around here then disappear after a few years so you will have to keep down the competition. They also can get quite tall so good in the back corners. Mine are growing right by my back steps..I don't want them there but that's where they grew so waiting for seeds then will transplant to more appropriate places...evening primrose as well & if you need any lemon balm...sheesh, all over the place!! Your garden is beautiful, you will have happy bees! Jody
I planted lemon balm and spearrmint in the front yard. Lemon balm is go crazy. It has already bloomed once and getting ready to bloom again.
Shawn, bees love fireweed, and it will probably grow ANYWHERE!!! It is a hoot and a hollar gathering the seeds, I remember Kathy and I talking about it, and you get covered in fluffy white stuff, the seed capsules can break and out comes white fluff, it can blow everywhere, like the dandelion's seeds. She gathered seed the same year I did and it was funny to talk about it. Have that most beautiful and wonderful day, lovin' life. Cindi
Ok got some more pictures. Someone had posted about "saving the bees" and gave a website where you could get free seeds. I planted the seed and this is what came up. I think the tall flowers are some kind of daisies but look at the little purple and red flower. I like the purple one but it was the only one that came up. There are some other things growing but no flowers so I dont know what they are.

The purple looks like the annual type aster & tall ones look like cosmos. Beautiful pics! Jody
Shawn, good garden. Mine is always out of control.
By the way, I can read you live in Lamar. Do you have the sea (la mar) over there? Listening "la mar" my mind flyes away.

My God! I´m seeing on the map that Colorado has not sea.
Well, you can use the photo in your screen. ;)
Abejaruco, that is your children, I think it is, if so, very lovely picture of the boys!!! Yeah!!! Have that wonderful and awesome day, Cindi
I wish there was sea here! Here are a couple more pictures of the flowers.
