hi all does any one have the inside dementions of a 8 frame hive or even a link-- i just can't seem to locate them
thanks
dave
Super Dave!
Does this one help? It's Beesource forums and they are talking about sizes and 8 frame boxes and how they are so diff from company to company, not necessarily building your own on beesource forums topic# t-209009.html (sorry I can't post links yet!)
And this is where the above outside link came from here on beemaster, a "building my own?" topic# 12874.0 ( I can't post http links yet, sorry!)
I have no real clue what the exact measurements are (yet) but I hope these topics helped! If you can get to them that is!
Good luck!
Superhoney!
hmmmm i can't figure out what to do with the topic number -- can you help me out
thanks
Brushy Mt and Miller Bee Supply make them 13 3/4" outside (which is 12 1/4" inside). But there is a lot of extra space inside. I'd just take care of outside, unless you plan to build it out of two bys.
Betterbee and Mann Lake make them 14".
Western Bee Supply will make them whatever you like.
Super Dave,
Sorry about that, I didn't know I couldn't post links just yet when I went to post the links. Up in the address bar, the last # is the one I referenced. But it's around page 5 of the equipment forums or so here on the beemaster forums, and the title was "building my own" to search for. The link to beesource is in that discussion as well.
But Mr Bush already answered the question here though. And as I remember was part of that discussion too!
Good luck!
Superhoney!
thanks mike
