What are the pros and cons of frame spacers? Do you use them in the brood boxes? :?

The old gentleman whom I bought my hives from had 9 frame stoller spacers in all his honey supers.  This caused the combs to be drawn out further to hold more honey and make it simple to uncap for extraction.

"Deep" comb is not needed in the Brood Chamber......You might end up with longer bees  :-D

I never use the nailed in spacers.  A friend has a few left and they are a pain to me.  I do use a spacing tool when I want to do 8 or 9 frames in supers.

I do not recommend frame spacers under any conditions.

You just end up fighting bridge and burr comb and other such problems.  Bees build enough burr comb on their won initiative why encourage them.
