Since we have not bought our bees, we have no way of knowing which ones we have. My husband would like to identify our bees before we start requeening. These maybe what we want.
We are looking into the Russians and would like to see pictures of the Russians and the other different types like the Italians and the others.
I know this forum has beekeepers of all the types. and your imput is most appreciated. :-\
Have you thought about contacting your local bee clubs to see what the consensus is?
Lots of people like Russian bees, now they can be a little testy, and they do have a tendancy to build lots of swarm cells, but they also tend to tear them down as well. You do need to stay on top of them.
Most of mine are feral Italians and I am very happy with most of them.

It would be difficult to tell what type of bees you have just by looking. All I can tell you is that both the Russians & the Carnoilans are dark bees. The Italians are lighter colored.
Good luck
