Title: How often is too often?
Post by: watercarving on May 20, 2008, 04:18:59 PM
I was in the hives Saturday and yesterday. This was to help a weak hive and I had little choice. I possibly need to go in again soon, maybe today, and add some Pierco frames to help with the honey bound issue. Is that being in the hive too much?

Going into the hives does disturb them and may hinder some progress.  But sometimes you can do more harm by not going in when you need to.  I was in the mind set 'less is more', but this isn't always the case.  I wish I had gone in more earlier this spring, I might have prevented some swarming.

Have fun!
