IRIE!

Respct!.

Got the call for the removal 3 stories up, a massive hive. We had no ladder long enough, nor could i get one to borrow/rent. So we decided to build one. Bought 4 peices of 2x4x16 and 2 pieces of 2x4x12. Plan being make 2 ladders of the 16ft lengths transport them to the complex, put them end on end and use the 12ft lengths to splice them together to make a 32 ft ladder. We also had a shorter aluminium ladder (just in case). everything went according to plan until we wanted to lift the ladder vertically. we couldnt do it from the ground, drove the pickup around put the other ladder vertically from the bed (give an additional 3 or 4 feet) climbed on tried to pull the other ladder up and still couldnt do. it. So, we ended using the shorter ladder, hoisting a car battery up to the top and tying it, then climbing up attaching the vacum to the battery and sucking up the bees. that hive took 2 evenings.
the 2nd one seemed to have been forwarned because they were just waiting on us the 3rd day. "sting city" man they were harsh.
P.S. the ladder is still there
