Well I supered all my yards last weekend right after I moved them all to the outyards for the summer.
DANG... I stopped back yesterday and the ones I didnt put a deep foundation on as a honey super I placed 2 empty drawn supers.. 1 super capped, and the other almost full. In 1 week. Woohoo. So needless to say I put 5 supers on similar colonies and didnt get done working them until 9pm last night......
Phew... I am glad to be back to work to rest up a bit here.
Wow, nice genetics.
I love suprise nectar flows!!!
Same thing happened to me last month. I got really excited and tossed out a couple supers on my other colonies hoping to catch the rest of what was coming in but had no luck. The supers I put on had undrawn wax foundation and are still undrawn. The ones I tossed on that they filled instantly were already drawn from last year. Might have had something to do with it. We're in a slow spell right now and am waiting for blackberry to kick in.
