Title: foundation for supers
Post by: broke-t on June 07, 2008, 02:53:55 PM
I am fixing to order frames and foundation for medium supers.  Dont have an extractor, so if we get any honey this year it will be chunk or crush and strain.

Would 7/11 be ok or go with regular size cells?  Should I use cut comb foundation or thin surplus?

Thanks, Johnny

If you are going to crush and strain then why not just order the frames, glue in some starter strips like popsickle sticks and let them build thier own

Sure.

That can work.

The thin surplus makes nice cut comb honey, but is more likely to buckle and fall out.

I'd do the popsicle sticks, myself.
