Title: Switching to a top entrance
Post by: bizzybeehoney on June 13, 2008, 11:03:59 AM
After ready a study about queen excluders and top entrances I am switching over to a top entrance.  I have left a gap between my inner and outer cover for them to go back and forth.  However the girls are conditioned to the bottom entrance.  I am wondering about getting them use to using the top entrance now.  Should I close up the bottom entrance and let them find the top?  Any suggestions?

Also, do they need a landing board for the top entrance?

I don't see any problems with that plan.  They'll get in and out easy enough.

You don't need a landing board for any entrance.
