Title: Plastic frames and foundation
Post by: mherndon on June 13, 2008, 05:35:57 PM
I bought my first nuc of bees 3 weeks ago.  The frames and foundation that the bees were on was wood and I'm not sure about the foundation.  The one piece frames and foundation I bought are on both sides of the brood frames I bought.  Am I going to be disappointed with my purchase of plastic?  Should I start frame manipulations to help them onto the plastic?  I may be too anxious and not giving them enough time to spread.  Any help will be appreciated.

Personal preference really.  Try em, you may like em.  If not, get something different.  I wouldn't get rid of them before trying them though.  Maybe another beek will trade you.  Either way, they will use both types.  Just give them time.
