I live in Fulton County, just north of you a bit.
I bought my first nuc from a guy a half hour south of Seymour, about three weeks ago.
by mere happen-chance, I stumbled onto a guy who lives near me, that wants to sell two of his complete hives(minus the honey he wants from them-ugh!). I'm picking them up tonight! Yea!
It is not too late.
Go onto the Indiana Beekeepers Assosiation website, and call a few of those folks. That's what I did, since I didn't want to but packaged bees, and I wanted to buy local.
If that doesn't work out for you, let me know, and I'll give the guy, who sold me my nuc, a call and see what he might be able to do.
around how much would someone charge for a nuc?
just a rough guess would be fine.

I paid $65.00 for a five frame deep body nuc.
I'm buying two complete hives for $90.00 each
