I was interviewed by local news about swarms, and a little visit to my home too!
Good story!
I was impressed, no suite, veil, or gloves.
Did you do the cutout at the church?
Steve
SWEET!!! Good job to the news station for that report. Finally someone not putting fear into everyone's heads about bees.
That was COOOOlll!!!
I like to see people from the forums on the TV!
I always tell my friends to come on back and watch who I know!
Your name is Seth?
Thats a GREAT name!!
your friend,
john
I wont be photo'd w/ equipment if I can help it. Sends wrong image for EHB. I didn't do church, but the nucs i was inspecting were all from hanging swarms. Always use nucs for interviews. Small, sweet disposition, and you can find the queen!
They cut a lot, but am pleased it went well. Both reporter and camera man went home w/ some honey, a few business cards and a positive bee experience!
Really nice work - I loved seeing you handle your frames and talking about the calmness of the bees in a swarm.

Great Seth
It was a wonderful piece. Thanks for doing this for the bees.
Annette
Very cool!! Way to go Seth, congratulations on joining the two minute club! ;)

Way to go Seth. Nice clip.
Nice job there nice to see the bees getting some good press for a change. :-D
I also liked the shot of the reporter watching from the side of the hive. Great job. Though I won't need it, thanks for the advise on using nucs. 8-)
Are the bees really making a comeback in N.C. ?
Just over the hill in E. TN I think it's our worst year ever...
NOW I know why you got your haircut
Kudos to KONASDAD and much praise for promoting beekeeping in NJ, especially here in the southern parts. He has been the President of the South Jersey Beekeepers Assoc. since last fall, has not been keeping bees much longer than that and has pretty much "steamrolled into town" so to speak and he has a lot of support from our community which is growing rapidly. Thank you, Sir :-*
Great job Konas Dad! I liked the way the reporter was close & not nervous. Was she truly as calm as she looked?? Also good to see that neither of you were wearing "armor" not that people shouldnt but it may help the public's fear. Good job of explaining what & why a swarm is & that they usually go away after a bit & that beekeepers can come get em for you instead of spraying! Kudos!! Jody
I remember you having a lot longer hair, I'd never have recognized you! Awesome that you net with Nora, though...We always watched channel 6 when I lived at home. The TV isn't on much here in our place, though, we're not really TV people.
Too bad she recommended leaving them alone until they moved on, instead of suggesting that people call a beekeeper.
thanx a bunch. Yes, I cut about 10" of hair off, the day it was triple digit heat index. I told her to call a beekeeper or leave them alone, But all in all a good piece for bees.
Nora muchanic was very nice and she seemed pretty comfortable w/ bees. I got impression she took her cues from me, and since i wasn't conscerned, she wasn't either. I may be doing some interviews for print press this week as well. Good stuff for bees which is goal.
