I was able to hatch out some queen cells in a couple of hives. One of them came back to the hive and the other flew into a queenless hive I had. This was unknowingly though. I had already had a queen comming and installed it ten days ago. Like I said I had no idea that this queen had taken up residence in it. So the queen killed my purchased queen after the queen was released. I searched for the reason why it was rejected and found this queen. Well here is where dumb gets stupid: As I was looking through the hive yesterday I found the queen again and marked her. I was not sure if I hurt her or not so today I just wanted to check up on her. I found the green dot very easily today and thought I'll just clip her wing since she is right here. So I did! Guess what I forgot to look for eggs first and then when I did I found none. I think It could have been at least two weeks that she has been in there. The hive is actually a nuc that I am trying to get going and had very little food in it. So yesterday I started feeding it. I hope she has been bred and the food promotes laying of eggs. I am not holding my breath though!
