Title: Installing top feeder
Post by: Nett on June 27, 2008, 03:18:14 AM
I just bought a top feeder from Better Bee and it doesn't seem to fit right. I have a 10 frame hive and I'm wondering if they sent one for an 8 frame or if I'm expecting it to fit differently than it does or maybe I'm doing something wrong. There were no instructions for use with it.
Can someone tell me the correct way to install it? :?

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Is your feeder something like this:
http://www.betterbee.com/products.asp?dept=1709
or this:
http://www.betterbee.com/products.asp?dept=409
??

You should be able to just set it on top of your hive just as you would a super, and it should be flush on all sides, i.e., the length & width of the feeder should be the same as your supers.
