Title: is this abnormal
Post by: Keith13 on June 27, 2008, 12:14:08 PM
I have a hive that I am using popsicle sticks to let them draw comb on. which has worked pretty well so far. the weird thing is now they seem to want to start on the bottom of the frames and build up to the popsicle sticks they drew the outside frames top down but the inside 8 they are working from the ground up.
What do you think is going on here?

I have seen that once on a removal I did. I started taking the wall off a storage shed expecting them to be up at the top, but nope, they had started at the bottom where the entrance was and was building upward.

I hate it when they are rebellious.

Keith, just out of curiosity, do you have popsicle sticks on top and on the bottom?  I've heard some do that and was curious if you do.  I haven't been doing that myself.

They are on the top maybe I should put them on the bottom to get my bees right

Did I get them from Australia? no but I did get them from New Orleans and that might be a little of the explanation
