on june 28 my bees just took and said goodby but alot of them stayed home. i check them today and they are bring in a lot of pollen and there is just a lot of them around. could there have been two queens in there and one took off. i have pic of them in a tree after they swarm there was a ton of them. will post later.
When a hive swarms, the swarm takes the "old" queen with them. Left behind is either a virgin queen or capped queen "swarm" cells. After the new queen mates, she will begin laying and building up the hive. Do you have brood/eggs? It sounds like you have a queen and will be okay.
i hope so. to look at the hive you would never know any of them left.
