Stopped by my outyard today on my way home from work to shift a honey super to 9 frames, and lo and behold, this is what I saw when I got there:
(Sorry about the low quality pic, all I had with me was my cell phone.)

Fortunately, the main branch stopped above the hives, and even the small side branches barely hit them. I'll have to work with the landowner to remove the branch, it's clearly in the way of the bees (and mine!). I was pretty scared when I saw the branch, but I'm glad everything came out intact.
Wow, just like that? What happened to the tree??
Wow, that was a close one!! I had a limb fall right on a hive and that colony absconded.

WHEWEEE!
WOWIE! Thank goodness you were driving bye to check -up on things!! FG
LUCK OF THE IRISH!!!!! ONE LUCKY MAN .
Wow, that was close....could have been a big mess, or a loss of hives. Was there a recent storm?
